Hi, I'm Mikey, the roaster behind 222 Coffee in King City, Ontario. My passion? Finding coffees that tell a story and roasting them to sing!

I fell in love with single origin coffees because every origin has unique flavour characteristics that cannot be replicated. Thus, I believe coffees shine best when it’s origin characteristics are brought to light.

After years of trying different origins with different brew methods, I wanted everyone to taste the explosive fruit and floral elegance of Ethiopian coffee. Here, we coax out those delicate stone fruit, and jasmine notes through lighter roasting profiles ideal for filter methods, making every cup a bright, complex revelation.

But sometimes, you crave depth. That's where our Colombian coffee shines. We roast these remarkable beans to develop their inherent strength and chocolaty character, creating an espresso that's powerfully smooth and balanced with little acidity. While I have yet to explore more origins, Colombian coffee is close to a perfect foundation for a truly satisfying espresso or latte.

From our specialty grade bean selection to the final roast curve in our roastery, every step is guided by a simple principle: honor the bean. Whether you are a home barista or café, we invite you to experience the distinct worlds of Ethiopia and Colombia, roasted right here in King City, Ontario.
